About

Shinobi is SEGA's classic ninja action franchise, first emerging in arcades in 1987 and centred on legendary shinobi Joe Musashi. Across nearly four decades, the series has built its identity around fast-paced action, ninja mastery and a distinctive fusion of traditional Japanese influences with contemporary style. That legacy was spectacularly reimagined in 2025 with SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, bringing Joe Musashi back in a critically acclaimed new adventure defined by fluid combat and striking hand-drawn artwork from Lizardcube, the studio behind Streets of Rage 4.
