Sea of Thieves is a swashbuckling shared-world pirate adventure developed by Rare, where players form a crew, set sail across an open ocean and create their own stories of exploration, treasure hunting and high-seas adventure. Since launching in 2018, its distinctive world has attracted tens of millions of players, combining the freedom of a pirate sandbox with unpredictable encounters, legendary creatures, hidden treasures and the camaraderie - or rivalry - of other crews. With its painterly art style, colourful characters and unmistakable ships, Sea of Thieves has created a playful take on pirate mythology with a passionate global community at its heart.
